Devilman Crybaby Season 2

Hey!

I mentioned Devilman Crybaby in my Exciting Anime in Winter Season 2018. I went to watch him on Saturday instead of writing. In about 4 hours, I had a psychological breakdown. I cannot lie. This 10-episode series gave me an emotional shock!
So why?

Because it didn’t even have anything to do with what I was thinking!
I’m not someone who knows the Devilman series, I’ve never heard of this anime before, no lies! When I found the subject in Myanimelist not ‘explanatory’ enough, I went to Türkanime and even wrote the subject here through there.

I wouldn’t write. I wouldn’t believe it! Such a fake cannot be. No matter who shook and wrote the subject of that anime from one side, there is no realization of deceiving people. One of the comments below did not say that the subject of this anime is not like that; in the beginning, things do not develop like that. I ask why?

You might be wondering why I am so obsessed with the promotion, for a very good reason if this chain of events started with a desire and with characters who knew what and why, then the next events, and perhaps even the finale, would not be in their present form. Things could get better off, at least in terms of characters. So first I’ll introduce * to you Devilman Crybaby!

About Devilman Crybaby

Released on January 5, 2018, by Netflix in 10 episodes simultaneously, Devilman: Crybaby is originally about two friends, and their story that revolves around creatures called the Devil (Akuma in Japanese, referred to as Demon in English).

As you can see in the poster, Asuka Ryou and Fudou Akira, respectively, are reunited in high school after their encounter as a child.

Ryou says he saw demons awakening during his work and that they should protect humanity. Here in Akira, he decides to help Ryou, and they go to a place where they think the demons are hiding. Here Akira unites with a demon called Amon in order to save Ryou. Akira now has Amon’s body and the heart of a human being and begins to fight demons for humanity.

I hope you understand the story more or less.

Detailed Anime Review with Spoilers

Now, after reading the introductory article in Türkanime, the following came to mind in my mind; Akira agrees to join a demon of his own free will, and events unfold accordingly. But no! Akira can’t stand the massacre of all the people and the fact that Ryou will be defeated by a demon at a party he goes to for Ryou, joining with Amon that Ryou summons as he will rush to help him.
In other words, the character suddenly finds himself united with a devil but has not lost his “human” quality.

In the first part, we see a lot of massacres and a lot of blood. Increasing brutality appears again in the last episodes, but we do not see as much blood in the intermediate episodes as in the Sabbath party in the first episode. (Sabbath party is the parties where young people go to lots of drugs and all kinds of madness in the anime.) Sabbath parties are actually front parties for demons to protect their identity and hunt people while hiding in people. Because demons entering the human body could not resist sexual desire the most. How ironic is that?

During the anime, we come across many types of demon. Frankly, I do not want to give information about these, but if I have to mention, they did not mention Amon enough in this anime. So while watching the anime, a character called Silene is Amon! We see him shouting Amon and fighting Akira over the urge to recall him, but only Ryou briefly mentions Amon at the end. He uses a phrase like “Champion of Demons” to describe Amon.

Until the last two episodes, “WTF?” At the end of the 9th episode, Miki Makimura and that rapper drive us crazy by killing the children, and at the end of the 10th episode, the 46-year Akira & Ryou battle is the final hit. Guess who’s dying in the end?
Audience!

Of course in Akira.

Until things get here, what I want to talk about a little bit is how Miki, Wamu, Kukkun, and Miko are spent in this story. Likewise, in the manga, Miki was killed in an ‘epic’ way. Until the last second, Miki’s heroism or belief that Akira will save him never ends. Wamu is coming. But he was stabbed in the back and killed by those who attacked Miki’s house. I’m not saying that Miki should be killed with screams afterward. You helped the girl’s back, traitors!

Miko, on the other hand, died trying to protect Miki just like Wamu and Kukkun. One last time Miko to people who know he can take no more
“What’s the point of being human? What’s the point of being good?” He squeezed in his head :( I thought, what if they had Miko set up the sentence summarizing the series here.

Then you were not forgiven for adding such a sad scene to the end. Because I still think of what Miki’s neighbors did. Not to mention the reverberation in my head that it makes no sense for Akira to gather the Devilmans with the entire demon body but also the heart of a human being to fight Ryou.
Ah, Akira! The child who cries not for himself but for others! What the last two episodes!

Devilman: What we can see in Crybaby is actually how Ryou drove people into turmoil, paranoia, and fear. Throughout all those scenes, we watched a country disappear into chaos. It was all of Ryou’s fiction. Although he didn’t knowingly set up this plan at first, making Miki and Akira a target was something Ryou did. It’s part of his grand plan.

But it was Ryou who was punished again and again by God. After listening to Ryou’s “no love” speech in the finale, we saw that after that great Akira & Ryou battle, Akira lost her waist down and died. Our fallen angel, our Satan Ryou, destroyed the whole planet, all humanity. And eventually, the Moon and Earth became moons of the new planet that emerged.
So Ryou’s infinite punishment continues in a loop, perpetual, perpetual.
He no longer has an Akira to say what the last thing he felt was.
And now, the first scene of the first episode becomes meaningful.

We all crave to be part of something big. In a fantastic way, the people here, those who killed Miki, Akira, Wamu, and many more were part of a grand plan.
Do you really think so after watching the finale?
Is it really always good to be a part of something big?
Many things, good and bad, happen in the world that we know or do not know what is happening.
Think one after watching this. Are you with the people you want to be included in every plan, or is the Earth spinning at a speed you cannot interfere with?

Having said that, let’s put it together now; Would I watch this anime again? Yeah! Even though the effect on me has not yet passed, I will watch it again, and I will watch, even I have included its manga on my read list!
What about the drawings? It was too good for an anime remake of the 1972 production. Especially, the changes in those who have united with Satan have been shown very well, and I am a supporter.
In fact, that connection between the last episodes and the first episodes ended me!

I think the anime of the century is still Death Note, but yes, Devilman: Crybaby was among my best with 10 / 9.5 points. I broke half the point for Miki, Miko, Wamu, and Kukkun. I wish a better end for them. Maybe they died as a result of Ryou’s paranoia, but I was so impressed that I thought it was still hurting.
I have yet to encounter any other anime that cause such pain in me.

After finishing the part with spoilers, I have something to say to those who are thinking of watching Devilman: Crybaby.
I hope you will experience the flood of emotions I experience in 4 hours while watching this. After a weird 4 hours, I was able to recover only today, and there are still scenes where I suffer the more I think.
I don’t know what to say, but the friendship between the two or whatever Ryou thinks is so impressed me that I look at the gifs from Tumblr and feel sad.

I don’t like electronic music actually, but I would like to listen to the opening song here.
I can’t find anything more to say.
